Features:
Vintage Glass, Modern Housing: Originally Canon FD stills lenses from the 1970s, they are rehoused by True Lens Services (TLS) for modern cinematography. This gives them a robust, cine-style housing while retaining their classic optical character.
Pleasing “Vintage” Look: Known for their cinematic aesthetic, these lenses produce a soft, warm image with low contrast and beautiful, circular bokeh.
Full Frame and More: Both lenses cover full-frame sensors and can even work with some medium format cameras, offering great versatility for various camera setups.
Consistent Form Factor: The TLS rehousing standardizes key features across the lens set. This includes a consistent 110mm front diameter and matching focus and iris gear positions, making them easy to use with matte boxes and follow focus systems.
Smooth Operation: The rehousing includes a cam-driven focus system, which provides smooth, repeatable focus pulls with a wide focus throw. The new 16-blade circular iris also ensures that bokeh remains round and pleasing at any aperture.
Great for Portraits: The natural and soft rendering of skin tones makes these lenses particularly well-suited for portraiture and close-up shots.
