A Cooke 10.8-60mm T3 lens that has been Optex-converted from the original Cooke 9-50mm T2.5 for Super 16mm format.
This conversion by Optex was designed to optimize the lens for Super 16 use, improving coverage and adjusting the focal range slightly. The original Cooke 9-50mm T2.5 was a highly regarded zoom lens for standard 16mm, and the Optex modification allowed it to perform better with the wider image circle required for Super 16. The conversion is very sharp and created a zoom that covers s16 and has beautiful flares and the Cooke look. Surface wear is present, glass is perfect. Ready to rock.
The Cooke 10.8-60mm T/3, later Optex converted to 9-50mm T/2.5, is a high-quality Super 16mm zoom lens designed for professional cinematography. Known for its classic Cooke look, it delivers natural skin tones, excellent contrast, and smooth focus transitions. The Optex conversion improves its wide-angle capability while maintaining high optical performance. With a constant T/2.5 aperture, it performs well in low-light conditions and provides a cinematic depth of field. The lens is lightweight and compact, making it ideal for handheld and documentary-style shooting.
Features:
This lens offers a versatile 9-50mm focal range, making it suitable for both wide and telephoto shots. The T/2.5 aperture ensures excellent low-light performance and depth of field control. Its optical quality delivers sharp images with minimal distortion. The lens features smooth focus and zoom mechanics, ensuring precise operation for professional use. The Super 16mm format compatibility makes it a valuable choice for film productions using smaller formats.
