The Kowa Evolution 2X Anamorphic lenses by P+S Technik are a modern rehousing and update of the original vintage Kowa Anamorphic lenses from the 1970s. They retain the classic optical characteristics while incorporating modern, reliable mechanics suitable for contemporary cinema production. They are renowned for being among the most compact and lightweight anamorphic cine lenses available, making them ideal for various shooting platforms.

Classic Anamorphic Look: Delivers the highly sought-after vintage aesthetic of the original Kowas, featuring low contrast, warm color tones, organic flares, and beautiful oval bokeh.

2X Squeeze Factor: Provides a true, classic widescreen cinematic look for a highly immersive image.

Modern Mechanics: Feature a reliable 2-cam focus mechanical design with hard end stops, smoother focus, and consistent 0.8 MOD gear positions across the set for easy lens swaps and use with follow focus systems.

Compact & Lightweight: Their small form factor makes them ideal for handheld, Steadicam, gimbal, or drone camera work.

Versatile Design: They have an 80mm front diameter suitable for clip-on matte boxes and a 77mm filter thread for screw-in filters.

Expanded Focal Lengths: While based on the original 4-lens set (40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm), the Evolution series has been expanded to six primes (32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm).

High Compatibility: Standard PL mount with the added benefit of an IMS exchange lens mount system allowing for optional EF, E-mount, and MFT mounts.

Coverage: Performs magnificently on Super 35 (S35) sensors, with the longer focal lengths (75mm and up) capable of covering Full Format (36x24mm).
