Features:
Anamorphic Squeeze: Designed to create a classic widescreen look by compressing the image horizontally during capture, then de-squeezing in post-production.
Vintage Aesthetic: Known for their distinct “Lomo Look,” offering a softer, more organic feel compared to modern, clinically sharp lenses.
Characteristic Flares: Produce prominent, often blue or warm-toned, horizontal lens flares that add character and a cinematic touch.
Oval Bokeh: Out-of-focus highlights render as distinct oval shapes, a signature of anamorphic lenses, adding to the dreamlike quality of the image.
Shallow Depth of Field: Contribute to a shallower depth of field, helping to isolate subjects and create a pleasing background blur.
Warm Color Palette: Tend to render colors with a natural warmth, complementing skin tones and overall image feel.
Robust Construction: Often built with durable, all-mechanical components, reflecting their Soviet-era origins.
Manual Focus: Typically fully manual lenses, requiring precise focus pulling for desired results.
Unique Optical Imperfections: Embrace subtle aberrations, distortions, and falloff towards the edges, which are part of their charm and contribute to the “vintage” look.
Rehoused Options: Many Lomo lenses found today are rehoused with modern cinema mounts (like PL mount) and improved mechanics for contemporary filmmaking workflows.
Cost: 35000 Euros for the 11 lens set, 25000 Euros for the zoom lens
