The ARRI ALEXA SXT-W (Super Xtended Technology – Wireless) is a high-performance digital cinema camera that builds on the industry-standard ALEXA platform. The “W” stands for Wireless, as this model features an integrated HD video transmitter and WiFi radio, eliminating the need for bulky external transmitters and complex cabling.
It utilizes the same ALEV III sensor found in the ALEXA 65 and AMIRA, delivering the signature “organic” film-like look, 14+ stops of dynamic range, and exceptional color science that has made ARRI the choice for top-tier cinematographers.
Key Features:
Integrated Wireless Video: Built-in zero-delay (< 1ms) HD video transmitter with a range of up to 600m (2,000 ft).
Versatile Sensor Modes: Supports Open Gate, 4:3, 6:5, and 16:9 modes for anamorphic and spherical shooting.
Multiple Recording Formats: 14 in-camera recording formats, including ARRIRAW and various Apple ProRes flavors (4444 XQ, 4444, 422 HQ, etc.).
High Frame Rates: Capable of up to 120 fps in certain modes for high-quality slow motion.
Advanced Look Management: Features the same color management and noise reduction technology found in the ARRI AMIRA.
Media Compatibility: Records to SXR Capture Drives, XR Capture Drives, SxS PRO/PRO+ cards, and CFast 2.0 cards.
Streamlined Rigging: The integrated wireless system results in a smaller, lighter camera body with fewer cables, reducing the risk of technical failure on set.
Future-Proof Image Quality: Industry-leading 14+ stops of dynamic range and Rec 2020 support make it ideal for HDR (High Dynamic Range) mastering.
Interference-Free Operation: Seamlessly integrates video, WiFi, and ECS (Electronic Control System) radios without signal interference.
Efficiency on Set: Faster setup times and the ability to wirelessly manage looks and camera settings via the ALEXA Web Remote.
Rugged Reliability: Built to withstand extreme production environments, with an operating range of -20°C to +45°C.
Cost: 9,000 USD
