Part of the “Extended Recording” (XR) lineup, it is specifically designed for cinematographers who demand the tactile experience of a film camera, featuring a rotating mirror shutter and an optical viewfinder. Equipped with the ALEV III Super 35 sensor, the Studio XR delivers the legendary “ARRI look”—characterized by natural skin tones, organic film-like grain, and a wide dynamic range. The “XR” designation refers to the integrated module that allows for in-camera ARRIRAW recording directly onto Codex Capture Drives, eliminating the need for bulky external recorders.
