ARRI LCUBE CUB-1 is a miniature, multi-purpose signal converter designed to bridge the gap between different communication standards in a cinema camera ecosystem. It primarily functions as a translator between LBUS (used by ARRI’s electronic control system) and serial protocols (RS232, RS422, RS485), making it an essential tool for integrating third-party accessories and rangefinders with ARRI and non-ARRI camera bodies.

Bidirectional Protocol Conversion: Seamlessly converts LBUS to serial and vice versa, allowing devices from different ecosystems to “talk” to one another.

Rangefinder Integration: Enables ultrasonic distance measures like the ARRI UDM-1 or Cine Tape to deliver real-time distance readouts directly to the Hi-5 or WCU-4 hand units.

Third-Party Camera Control: Allows ARRI Master Grips to trigger Start/Stop and control user buttons on cameras from RED, Sony, and others via specific adapter cables.

Compact & Lightweight: At only 47g, it adds negligible weight to the camera rig, making it ideal for gimbal or handheld configurations.

Daisy-Chainable: Features two LBUS connectors, allowing it to be easily integrated into an existing chain of cforce motors without requiring extra ports.

Integrated Mounting: Includes a built-in dovetail compatible with the LCUBE Bracket or standard 15mm/19mm rod clamps for secure attachment.

Status LED: A multi-colored LED provides instant visual feedback on the device’s setup and connection status.
