The Atlas Mercury Series is a specialized line of 1.5x anamorphic lenses designed to balance the classic “vintage” anamorphic look with modern reliability and a more compact form factor. These lenses are engineered to cover full-frame sensors while providing the characteristic streaks, oval bokeh, and barrel distortion cinematographers crave, without the excessive weight of traditional anamorphic glass.

1.5x Anamorphic Squeeze: Strikes a perfect balance between the traditional 2x look and the sensor-utilization efficiency of 1.33x, making it ideal for 16:9 and 3:2 digital sensors.
Full-Frame Coverage: Unlike many vintage anamorphic sets, the Mercury series covers large-format sensors (up to 36x24mm).
Compact & Lightweight: Half the size and weight of many competing anamorphic lenses, making them suitable for gimbals, drones, and handheld operating.
Optical Personality: Features pleasing barrel distortion, golden flare characteristics (rather than standard blue), and smooth, oval out-of-focus highlights.
Mechanical Consistency: Unified gear positions and an 95mm front diameter across the set (excluding the 138mm) allow for rapid lens changes on set.
