The Vantage MiniHawk series is a unique line of “Hybrid Anamorphic” cinema lenses. They are mechanically spherical lenses that utilize a patented oval iris mechanism to mimic specific aesthetic traits of anamorphic glass (like oval bokeh) without the optical distortions or squeeze factor. They are designed to offer the “anamorphic look” with the speed, size, and close-focusing advantages of modern spherical optics.

Hybrid Optics: Delivers classic anamorphic traits (oval bokeh, shallow depth of field) using spherical glass, meaning the footage requires no de-squeezing (1x factor).

Fast Aperture: High-speed T1.7 aperture across almost the entire set, allowing for exceptional low-light performance.

Oval Bokeh: A patented iris shape produces the coveted vertical oval out-of-focus highlights associated with 2x anamorphic lenses.

Zero Breathing: engineered to have virtually no focus breathing, a common issue with traditional anamorphic glass.

Super Close Focus: Capable of focusing extremely close (approx. 10 inches / 0.25m on wider focal lengths), far superior to standard anamorphics.

Compact Form Factor: Significantly smaller and lighter than traditional anamorphic lenses, making them ideal for handheld, gimbal, and drone work.

Geometric Correction: Distortion-free images make them highly suitable for visual effects (VFX) workflows where match-moving is required.
