The Leitz Thalia series is a set of cine primes that offers a unique, “vintage-modern” aesthetic specifically designed to cover large-format sensors up to 60mm diagonal (VistaVision and beyond). Unlike many modern lenses that strive for clinical perfection, the Thalias are based on the optical design of the legendary Leica S medium format lenses, but with a specialized coating and iris assembly that produces a circular, creamy bokeh and a gentle focus fall-off. This 9-lens set provides a comprehensive range from a wide 24mm to a telephoto 180mm, all maintaining a relatively compact form factor for large-format glass.
