This process effectively increases the maximum aperture of each lens by approximately one stop while widering the field of view, allowing these legendary medium-format optics to cover Full Frame and Vista Vision sensors with a more luminous and “faster” stop. This is an extremely rare late production Russian Cinema prime lens set. AO Optika, Lomo CKBK, Ekran, and JSC Optika Optar are all names of the manufacturer or factory the lenses were made by in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Ekran later became AO Optika and then became JSC Optika Elite. A very limited number of super 35mm format sets branded JSC Optika Optar were produced in the 90’s for export.
