The TLS Speed Booster Mamiya 645 Set of 7 (17mm, 25mm, 32mm, 39mm, 57mm, 78mm, 107mm) is a highly specialized rehoused lens collection from True Lens Services (TLS). This set takes vintage medium-format Mamiya 645 glass and integrates a high-quality focal reducer (speed booster) directly into the housing. This process effectively increases the maximum aperture of each lens by approximately one stop while widering the field of view, allowing these legendary medium-format optics to cover Full Frame and Vista Vision sensors with a more luminous and “faster” stop. The TLS rehousing provides world-class mechanical reliability, featuring 300-degree focus rotation, standardized gear positions, and a robust PL mount, making these vintage lenses fully compatible with modern professional cinema environments.
Key Features:
Integrated Speed Booster: Built-in focal reduction increases light transmission and widens the focal length, giving medium-format glass a unique “fast” look on smaller sensors.
Full Frame & Vista Vision Coverage: Specifically engineered to provide a large image circle that comfortably covers high-resolution sensors like the ARRI ALEXA 65 or Sony Venice.
Vintage Medium Format Character: Retains the smooth bokeh, gentle contrast, and organic texture of original Mamiya 645 glass while improving low-light performance.
World-Class TLS Rehousing: Features professional-grade 0.8 MOD gearing, improved close-focus capabilities, and a durable cam-driven focus system.
Standardized Front Diameters: Most lenses in the set are designed with a 110mm or 114mm front diameter for seamless use with professional matte boxes.
Precise Mechanical Performance: Offers smooth, repeatable focus pulls with clear, dual-sided witness marks in either imperial or metric scales.

This is an extremely rare late production Russian Cinema prime lens set. AO Optika, Lomo CKBK, Ekran, and JSC Optika Optar are all names of the manufacturer or factory the lenses were made by in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Ekran later became AO Optika and then became JSC Optika Elite. A very limited number of super 35mm format sets branded JSC Optika Optar were produced in the 90’s for export.
